School of arts in the Pavlovsk State Museum has been working with the children of the Pavlovsk, Gatchina and Tosno districts of the Leningrad region for 8 years already. More then 200 pupils from the age of 5 up to 17 years study at the school.

The main purpose of the school is to acquaint children with the museum, to introduce them in the world of art, to help them with their first steps in history. Pupils begin to understand architecture, sculpture, painting and applied arts. The school develops the creative abilities of pupils, brings them up in the esteem to masterpieces of humanity.

There are classes in painting, sculpture, dance, music, world culture, etc. The lessons take place in the museum halls, in restoration workshops, in classes, in the park and in the concert hall of the palace.
